What to expect before therapy begins.
Answers about attachment-focused family therapy, parent-child therapy, rates, telehealth, and beginning treatment with Braxton Storm in Nevada and Utah. If your question is not here, ask during a complimentary consultation.
Who do you work with?
Braxton works with children, teens, parents, and families who want stronger connection, healthier communication, and a more secure relationship. Treatment may involve parent-only sessions, individual sessions, or parent-child work depending on the family’s needs.
Why are parents part of treatment?
Children live and heal inside relationships. Including parents creates opportunities to practice safety, emotional language, boundaries, and repair where they matter most—in the family relationship.
Does involving parents mean the parent is being blamed?
No. The goal is not blame; it is understanding and change. Parents are treated as important partners who can help create new patterns while receiving support for their own stress and history.
How does the process begin?
Start with a complimentary 15-minute consultation. If the fit feels right, the first sessions focus on understanding your family, identifying patterns, and creating a plan together.
What are your rates?
Individual or parent sessions are $200 for 50 minutes. Parent-child or family sessions are $250 for 60 minutes. A 75-minute family assessment is $300. A complimentary 15-minute consultation is available before scheduling.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. Braxton offers in-person sessions at 250 East Horizon Drive, Suite 120, Henderson, Nevada 89015, and virtual therapy for clients located in Nevada and Utah. Whether telehealth is clinically appropriate can be discussed during the consultation.
Is therapy confidential?
Privacy is taken seriously. Braxton will explain confidentiality, its legal limits, and how information is handled when more than one family member participates before treatment begins.
What ages do you work with?
Braxton primarily works with children age 10 and older, preteens, teens, parents, and families. Fit depends on a child’s developmental and clinical needs and whether parent participation can meaningfully support treatment.
Do you accept insurance?
Braxton is in network with Optum and UnitedHealthcare. Out-of-network clients may request a superbill to submit for possible reimbursement. Benefits and reimbursement vary by plan and should be verified directly with your insurance company.
Can faith be included in therapy?
Yes. Faith-integrated Christian and Latter-day Saint counseling is available when requested by the client or family. People of all beliefs are welcome, and religious perspectives are never assumed or imposed.
What is the cancellation policy?
Clinical appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments changed with less than 24 hours’ notice, including missed appointments, are charged 100% of the scheduled fee and are nonrefundable.
